On the Sand works with many international arts organizations, is supported by local governments and EU funding and grant programs, and uses socio-cultural interaction in neighborhood areas. On the Sand also collaborates with international and interdisciplinary art projects, providing a space for contemporary art,  sociocultural gatherings, permaculture, art residencies, festivals, retreats, happenings, all practiced mostly by émigré artists.
